1.3   At Contract Laboratory Services Limited (T/A Safety5000) we recognise your privacy and are committed to safeguarding the personal information you share with us.  We believe that the best way to protect your privacy is to tell you what information we gather from you, how we store it, how it is used, how we share it with others, how you can access and manage the information we hold about you, and ensure that you understand and consent to our uses of such information. 

1.4   Contract Laboratory Services Limited (T/A Safety5000) will only ever use the information that we collect about you lawfully and in your best interests.  Depending on the nature of the information you provide, certain legislative protections may apply to our processing of your information.  We will of course ensure that we comply with any applicable legislation aimed at protecting your privacy, including all applicable European Union directives on the protection of personal data, which, as of the 25th May 2018 includes full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 

1.5   The information detailed below is provided by us to enable our clients to be fully informed and assured that our company Privacy Policy is not only compliant with statutory requirements, but genuinely protects their privacy.  By visiting this website and/or otherwise corresponding/interacting with Contract Laboratory Services Limited (T/A Safety5000), you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

 

 2.   What information do we collect?   How do we use it?

2.1   We only collect personal information that is necessary and relevant in order to provide you with the products and/or services you request.

2.2   When you register on this website, place an order with us (including offline orders), or make a request for further information, we ask you for certain basic information such as your name (including title), the name of your organisation, your delivery postal address, your billing postal address, your telephone number, your fax number, your email address and your job role.  This information is stored on our secure databases and is primarily used to enable us to do business with you and respond to your enquiries.

                  2.11.2.1   We may use your information to analyse, evaluate and improve our products and services, including use of our website, applications, customer services and stores/trade counters, in order to improve your customer experience.  Where possible we will use data amalgamated from many people so that it doesn’t identify you personally.

3.   Do we share the information we receive?

3.1   We have never and will never sell your information to any third party.

4.   How long do we keep your information for?

4.1   We will not hold your personal information in an identifiable format for any longer than is necessary.  If you are a customer, or otherwise have a relationship with us we will hold personal information about you for a longer period than if we have obtained your details in connection with a prospective relationship.

6.   Are there any security issues?

6.1   We take the security of your data seriously.  Therefore, once we receive your information, we always take steps to ensure its security on our systems and at our offices.  Unfortunately, no data transmission can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  As a result, while we will strive to protect your personal information once we have received it, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of the transmission of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. 

6.2   Within Safety5000, employees (or agents working on behalf of Safety5000 and under confidentiality agreements) will have access to stored customer information.   Access to all customer data is limited to a small number of individuals who hold responsibility for maintenance and security of the data. 

6.3   Cookies are small text files that are transferred from our website and stored on your computer's hard drive.  They enable our website to remember who you are.  We use cookies to identify and track users of our website, to store information about your preferences and to remember what is in your shopping basket.  Most browsers are automatically set to accept cookies but if you are using Microsoft's Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, you should be able to configure your browser to restrict cookies or block all cookies if you wish.  If you disable cookies you may find this adversely affects your ability to use certain parts of this website.
