About Us

Does Safety5000 have retail stores?

No, unfortunately we do not currently operate retail stores, or trade counters.  Safety5000 is purely a mail order business dedicated to providing excellent customer service through our online platform and associated customer service centre.  The products and services we provide are target to the requirements of businesses rather than consumers (members of the general public), and as such our organisation's processes and Terms & Conditions of sale are structured to reflect this.  Our main offices and warehousing are based in Hartlepool, Cleveland, UK.

 

Do you sell genuine brand products?

Yes, Safety5000 only stock and supply 100% brand products.  Everything we sell is brand-new, unused, unworn and undamaged.  All our products are supplied in pristine condition, in the manufacturer's original packaging.

Can I contact you over the phone?

Yes, Safety5000 have a dedicated team of customer services representatives to answer any queries you might have.  You can contact us Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 using the following telephone number: 0330 024 9933.  Calls made to this number from within the UK cost no more than calls to standard geographic numbers.  If you are calling from outside the UK, you will need to apply the international dialing code for the UK: +44 (0)330 024 9933.

You can email any queries you have about your order, or the products catalogued on the Safety5000 website to enquiries@safety5000.com.  Our customer services team go through all customer emails and forward them to the relevant departments who will then answer your queries directly back to you.

Shipping

How long does delivery take and how much does it cost?

We work in partnership with a number of couriers to ensure an unbeatable service when delivering your goods.  We ship all available goods ordered throughout the UK on a next working day basis (postcode area permitting).  Our basic 'UK Mainland - Next Working Day Standard' delivery starts at £7.50 (Ex. VAT), but this delivery type becomes free of charge if your order has a goods value of £100 (Ex. VAT) or more.  If you should require them, express (timed) next working day courier options are available at the checkout stage, but be aware these services are charged at a premium. 

If you place your order by 1600 Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays) and your goods are in stock in our warehouse, we will ship them the same working day, for next working day delivery (postcode area permitting). 

If the goods your have ordered are only partially available from stock, we will notify you immediately by email, but will always ship all available goods straight away (unless you request otherwise), with the remaining (backordered) goods to follow at the earliest possible opportunity, with no additional shipping charge.

 

What packaging will my order be shipped in?

All of our products are dispatched wrapped in Safety5000 branded external packaging suitable for the transportation of the individual goods being shipped via the courier network selected.   We will always look to use a level of packaging which prevents waste, but ensures that you goods arrive with you in pristine condition.

 

Does Safety5000 ship to Post Office boxes or Freight Forwarding addresses?

Unfortunately, Safety5000 are are unable to deliver to Post Office boxes and we do not deliver to forwarding addresses.

 

Why are shipping restrictions applied to some items?

Some of the products catalogued by Safety5000 are hazardous in nature and/or controlled substances.  In addition, the sale of some products are limited by international trading agreements and regulations.  Also, on occasion, certain manufacturer's will place restrictions on the countries to which we are allowed to ship products.  As such Safety5000 is obliged to adhere to particular shipping restrictions.  This will always be clearly stated on the product page.

 

Is my item insured?

Yes, all items are insured against theft and accidental damage whilst in transit from Safety5000 to the shipping address.  However, once your items have been delivered to your specified delivery address and signed for, they are no longer covered by insurance.

 

Do I need to sign for my order?

Yes, a signature is always required when your order is delivered by our courier.  Safety5000 specifically directs its courier NOT to leave goods in a 'safe' location, or leave with a neighbour.  If no one is available to sign for the goods at the time they are delivered, the courier will ticket/card the missed delivery, detailing the date and time they attempted the delivery, and providing you with options and contact details for rearranging delivery/collection.

 

Can I change my shipping address after my order has been dispatched?

Unfortunately, Safety5000 are unable to redirect orders once your items have been dispatched.  Please note, even prior to dispatch we are limited by your credit/debit card providers and payment providers such as PayPal in changing the shipping address on your order.  Therefore, please ensure that you provide at the point of order a suitable delivery address based on the date (and time) when your goods are specified for delivery.

 

Can I track my item?

Upon dispatch of your goods, Safety5000's chosen courier will email you a tracking email so you are able to check your order status and be kept up to date with your consignment.

 

What if I am out when my item is delivered?

Don't worry.  If no one is available to sign for the goods at the time they are delivered, the courier will ticket/card the missed delivery, detailing the date and time they attempted the delivery, and providing you with options and contact details for rearranging delivery/collection.   Please note, Safety5000 specifically directs its courier NOT to leave goods in a 'safe' location, or leave with a neighbour. 

 



Payment

What payment methods does Safety5000 accept?

Contract Laboratory Services Limited (T/A Safety5000) accepts major credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and Delta through our payment service provider SagePay and our merchant services provider Barclays.  All credit card details are secured with 128-bit encrypted sessions and all sensitive information is stored on a heavily encrypted database that is protected by multiple government approved firewalls.  We also accept payment by PayPal.

 

Do you take payment over the phone?

Yes.  Safety5000 can (when necessary) accept orders and process credit and debit card payments over the phone.   However, this facility is limited to customers based in the UK.  You can contact us Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 using the following telephone number: 0330 024 9933.

 

Is it safe to use my credit card online?

Here at Safety5000, your personal online security is important to us.  We use the latest SSL encryption technology to store and safely transmit your personal and credit/debit card information through our systems.  All orders are processed through a secure checkout system.  You may also choose to securely store your credit card details with us.  This means you will not have to enter them again during future purchases, making it quicker and simpler to shop at Safety5000.

Contract Laboratory Services Limited (T/A Safety5000) complies with all aspects of the Data Protection Act of 1984 and the new act of 1998.  We do not disclose details of our customers to any third party. 

 

How do I change currency?

Unfortunately, Safety5000 only accepts payments in GBP. 

 

How much duties and taxes will I have to pay?

All orders for goods to be delivered within the UK will be charged at the appropriate rate of Value Added Tax (VAT) and Duty.  For goods delivered outside of the UK, it is important to note that you may have to pay additional custom duties and taxes on the items you purchase and that these local fees are not included in your transaction with Safety5000 (or documented on your Safety5000 invoice).  It is your responsibility to identify in advance of placing your order any applicable local fees and how you will be expected to pay them.

 



Ordering

Do I need to set up an account with Safety5000 to place an order?

Yes, you must create an account in order to make a purchase from the Safety5000 website.  This can be done, by filling in a simple form at the checkout.

 

I've forgotten my password, what should I do?

If you have forgotten your password, click the 'Forgotten Password' link found on the 'My Account' login page.

You will then be asked to enter your email address, and a new password will be sent to your email address.  You can change your password by using the 'Change Password' link found on your account dashboard.

 

I am unable to log into my account, what should I do?

If for some reason you are unable to log into your account, you can contact us Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 using the following telephone number: 0330 024 9933.  During busy periods, or outside of office hours we suggest that you contact us by email: enquiries@safety5000.com.  We will endeavour to assist you as quickly as possible in accessing your account.

 

Is my personal information kept private?

Please be assured that your personal information is kept private and confidential and at no point will we rent or sell this.

To register at Safety5000, we will need to know your name, company/organisation name, mailing address, email address and telephone number.  When processing your order online we also require your billing address, shipping address, credit card number and expiration date. If necessary, these details may be shared with a credit reference agency to verify your order.

 

How do I make a purchase?

Shopping online at Safety5000 is quick and easy.  Use the website's internal search engine, or top level departments to find the type of product you're after and then apply filters to narrow your search for the specific brand and/or subcategory of product you require.

Once you have found the item you need, select the type (e.g. size) and quantity required and click 'Add to Basket'.

You can review your items in your shopping basket by clicking 'View Basket'.

If you should need to completely remove any item, simply click the associated red 'X' to left had side of the product image.

Lastly, select a payment method button (e.g. "Pay with Card") to proceed to the checkout and complete your order.

 



Products

Which size should I choose?

All products are sold by the international sizing scheme used by the individual manufacturer.  You can convert this to your usual size by clicking 'Sizing Guide" tab shown on every product page.  As sizes can vary greatly by manufacturer, we have where available also provided the actual dimensions of each product for you to compare with your own body measurements.

 

Do you have a size guide?

Yes, for applicable products, this can be found within the 'Sizing Guide" tab situated on the right hand side towards the foot of every product page.

How do I know if an item is out of stock?

Saftey5000 endeavours to hold stock of all products it catalogues on its website.  All items are in stock unless specifically stated as 'Out of Stock' on the items product page.   However, please note, to allow Safety5000 clients to take advantage of the significant additional discounts available when purchasing multiple units of a product, the website is structured to allow customers to purchase more units of product than may be readily available from stock. 

We will always provide accurate stock availability information and estimated lead time for completion of your order at the point of formal order confirmation (which occurs after you've placed your order).  In addition, if the goods your have ordered are only partially available from stock, we will notify you straight away by email, but will always ship all available goods immediately (unless you request otherwise), with the remaining (backordered) goods to follow at the earliest possible opportunity, with no additional shipping charge.

Does Safety5000 have seasonal sales?

No we do not have seasonal sales.  The products supplied by Safety5000 generally have all year round use, and a such are not relevant for promotion via seasonal sales.  We invest considerable effort in ensuring we buy well and therefore are always able to deliver our clients competitive prices on the products we sell.  When combined with the additional discounts we offer across our range on multiple unit purchases, we provide excellent value to our clients.
